Pictured are Al Monty and his wife Anita. Al has been calling and teaching square dancing since 1948. He calls from the beginner level thru C2. In addition to being the club caller for the Green Mountain Steppers, Al is also the club caller for the Advanced 60's in Barre, VT; the Connecticut Valley Swingers in Bradford, VT; and the Central VT Squares in Montpelier/Barre, Vt area. Al is a member of CallerLab and is BMI and ASCAP licensed. In 1999 Al received the Yankee Clipper Award from the Square Dance Foundation of New Englend for his unselfish dedication to the advancement of square dancing in the New England area.
